CanadaOne Cares

The Pat and Diana Priestner Family, Kamloops Honda, and all CanadaOne Cares Dealerships, are dedicated to making a meaningful, lasting difference through thoughtful charitable giving. By supporting the needs of our communities we're building more than a company; we're building a legacy of care and commitment.

RIHF Donation

Kamloops Honda Supporting Royal Inland Hospital Foundation

Kamloops Honda is proud to announce an $80,000 donation to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation in support of two vital areas of care at Royal Inland Hospital — the Parkview Youth Mental Health Program and the hospital’s renal unit.
The Parkview program provides critical support to children and youth in our region who are facing mental health challenges, offering access to counselling, psychiatric care, and outreach services for rural communities. In parallel, the renal unit supports patients with kidney disease and is experiencing growing demand as our community continues to expand.
This contribution builds on our long-standing relationship with the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, reflecting our deep commitment to the health and wellbeing of Kamloops and surrounding areas.
None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of Pat Priestner and the CanadaOne Auto Group, whose support empowers us to give back in meaningful ways. Their continued dedication to community investment makes moments like this possible.
Together, we’re helping build a healthier future — for every generation.
Food bank drive

Kamloops Honda Salvation Army Christmas Hampers

In 2024, through their collective efforts, we’ve created 100 Christmas hampers for the Salvation Army in Kamloops. Each hamper is filled with essentials, and love, and even includes a $50 Save-On-Foods gift card to help make the holidays a little brighter for local families. But the need doesn’t stop here. Food insecurity affects so many in our community, not just during the holidays but all year round. We’re inviting you to join us in making a difference—whether it’s donating, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness. Together, we can help families in need feel supported, cared for, and seen. Let’s create a season of giving and a future of hope.

A Legacy of Care and Compassion

In the demanding world of retail automotive, mental health often takes a back seat. The challenges faced by dealership teams, especially during the pandemic, highlighted the critical need for support and understanding.

Pat Priestner, our founder, recognized this need and turned his personal reflections into action. Originally written as a heartfelt memoir for his children and grandchildren, Notes for the Children shares Pat's journey of overcoming personal and professional challenges while prioritizing mental well-being. Drawing from over 50 years in the retail automotive industry, he candidly addresses his struggles, lessons learned, and the practices that helped him navigate life's ups and downs.

Legacy of care and compassion

Today, Pat visits our dealerships to share these experiences firsthand, fostering conversations around mental health and personal growth. His book is a blend of personal stories and practical advice—a testament to the transformative power of small, meaningful changes.

All proceeds from Notes for the Children will go to charities that support well-being across Canada, helping to extend the impact of his message beyond our organization.
